Teaser Trailer Pre Production and Planning
Filming Day (Monday 7th October)
A little bit of the footage we filmed, we managed to get all the scenes shot in all the locations which were good. I will not be using the sound from the videos so that doesn't matter as I'm adding music and a little bit of folley over the top. Everything went well however we were quite pushed for time at some points and one scene I have had to scrap mostly as it just wasn't needed and would take up to much time in my timeline but I have taken one shot from it and added it into my teaser so it wasn't all wasted. I feel I managed to get it all done is due to my planning being very good meaning everything we had to do could run to a very tight plan.
I filmed a behind the scenes video to show how I set each scene up and the equipment and lenses I would use for them. This is to show how I made the trailer and what went into it. From this, you can see how in my final edit I have moved some scenes around even cut most of a scene all to make my teaser look the best it can. All in all, filming went really well I managed to get everything filmed in one day and to the standard I wanted this means I shouldn't need to do any reshoots. However I did find at points I was a bit under pressure with time,e limits. I set all the camera gear up and lighting like I did to help with the smoothness and cinamaticness of my teaser as I wanted it to have the same kind of feeling throught.
Editing
9/10/19
Today I have edited my footage all onto the timeline in the order I wanted it, cut the clips to the right length, added and added music over the top (nurses office) I then added a few basic transitions in and lastly I added a few title pages in ready for when I need them and am ready to make a special font. I decided it would look better all-round if i changed where I had planned for some scenes to be and the length of them so I have decided to do this to increase the pace of my trailer.

Today I worked on cleaning up cuts and shortening long scenes down. I edited and made cuts to the beat as often as possible as well as I feel this gives a very clean look. Furthermore, I added a few titles in and started to work on color correction to give my teaser a darker more sinister feel to it adding an adjustment layer and filling in a few gaps with some extra footage I edited with lots of cuts in. Lastly, I edited and put together a behind the scenes video it was quite basic really I just added all the footage in added some text and a few transitions and exported it out onto youtube.

Today I worked on the color of my footage darkening it down and balancing the colors out to give it a scarier feel with darker duller colors as this fits with the typical codes and conventions of horror. I also added in some grain throughout my footage to help enhance the darkness of the footage. I also worked on transitions and my audio levels. I did this to achieve the right feel for the trailer with the right balance between video and auido.

Today I worked on adding in a quick title page to help speed up the pace of my teaser and to fill in a blank spot I had I also worked on more color correction so I can get the balance of my footage being bright enough to see properly but not too bright and colorful that it gives happy vibes which I really don't want. I feel I am getting much closer to the end product I had envisioned and shall be complete very soon All in all my teaser is just how I wanted it and is coming together very well.

Today I also worked on recording some foley with my rode video mic pro, I used it to record 4 different audios as shown above one of heavy breathing, one of sticks snapping, one of running, and one of someone in shock. I then tested out the audio in premier pro to see what fitted well with my teaser and the music and in the end, after a lot of trial and error I went with using only two of the audio recordings one of the running and one of the sticks breaking I did this as I felt it gave the most realistic look as some of the foley I recorded didn't fit the best.. Once I had picked my audio I then had to adjust the sound levels of my music and my foley so they both sounded how they should and not fake and also add cuts in the music and the foley so I could do this. Nim and James helped me record the foley.

Today I worked on first editing my sound levels so that the audio was at the levels I wanted. I then went on to add in a bit more video at the end title sequence to make it more immersive and played around with effects for the way my title flashes in and out, in the end, I went with the film dissolve effect after trying almost every effect I could. I chose to add in the footage at the end as I thought it would make it more enjoyable to watch and it meant I could use some unused footage.
Conclustion
This is the feedback I received from my teaser. From this, I have decided to add in some longer transitions between scenes. Make sure that the running scene is smooth. I also added in a lot of noise to give a dirty look to the footage to fit with the horror genre. Lastly, I made some cuts smoother and faded my music out at the end of the video. You can see my first edit and final edit on my final outcome page.
